In my opinion as a hair enthusiast, Raw hair, which refers to unprocessed, natural hair that hasn’t been chemically treated or altered, can last much longer than processed hair extensions, often 2 –4 years or more, depending on how well it’s cared for. If maintained properly, raw hair can be reused multiple times. Here are some key factors that influence its longevity: 1. Quality of the Hair: Raw hair tends to be higher quality than processed hair, so it can last much longer. Human hair from a single donor is often considered the best for extended use. 2. Maintenance: Proper care—including regular washing, conditioning, detangling, and avoiding excessive heat or chemical treatments—will help raw hair last longer. Storing the hair properly when not in use also plays a big role. 3. Wear and Tear: The frequency of wear (e.g., as extensions or wigs) can affect how long the raw hair lasts. With minimal exposure to daily elements and regular maintenance, it can last for several years. Overall, raw hair is a solid investment if you’re looking for extensions or wigs that can be reused for a long period with good care.

There are several techniques you can use to curl your hair, each offering different results depending on the look you want to achieve. Here are some of the most popular methods: 1. Curling Iron • How: Wrap sections of hair around the barrel of the curling iron, hold for a few seconds, then release. • Results: Defined, bouncy curls. • Tips: Use different barrel sizes for looser or tighter curls. Always curl away from your face for a more natural look. 2. Flat Iron (Hair Straightener) • How: Clamp a section of hair with the flat iron, then twist and pull it downwards to create a curl. • Results: Soft, beachy waves or curls. • Tips: For more defined curls, make sure the flat iron is at a 90-degree angle to the hair. Hold for a few seconds before releasing. 3. Flexi Rods • How: Wrap damp hair around the flexi rods and leave them in to air dry or use a blow dryer for faster results. • Results: Soft, defined curls with lots of volume. • Tips: For tighter curls, use smaller sections of hair or smaller rods. Leave in for a few hours or overnight. 5. Braid or Twist Curls • How: Braid or twist damp hair into several sections, then leave it overnight to dry. In the morning, undo the braids or twists to reveal curls. • Results: Loose, beachy waves or tighter curls depending on the size of the sections. • Tips: The smaller the braids or twists, the tighter the curls. You can also use this method with dry hair for more relaxed waves. • How: Wrap sections of hair around the barrel of a curling wand (without a clamp), hold for a few seconds, then release. • Results: Loose, beachy waves or more natural curls. • Tips: Curl in different directions to add texture, and leave the ends out of the barrel for a more relaxed, tousled look.

• Use the Right Products: Apply a heat protectant before using any heat tools, and finish with a light hairspray or texturizing spray to hold the curls. • Don’t Overcrowd the Sections: Larger sections result in looser, less defined curls, while smaller sections create tighter curls. • Let Curls Cool: Let the curls cool down before running your fingers through them to set the shape and minimize frizz. Each technique offers different looks, so you can choose based on your hair type, time constraints, and the type of curl you want!
