All about raw hair extensions
In my opinion as a hair enthusiast, Raw hair, which refers to unprocessed, natural hair that hasn’t been chemically treated or altered, can last much longer than processed hair extensions, often 2 –4 years or more, depending on how well it’s cared for. If maintained properly, raw hair can be reused multiple times.
Here are some key factors that influence its longevity:
1. Quality of the Hair: Raw hair tends to be higher quality than processed hair, so it can last much longer. Human hair from a single donor is often considered the best for extended use.
2. Maintenance: Proper care—including regular washing, conditioning, detangling, and avoiding excessive heat or chemical treatments—will help raw hair last longer. Storing the hair properly when not in use also plays a big role.
3. Wear and Tear: The frequency of wear (e.g., as extensions or wigs) can affect how long the raw hair lasts. With minimal exposure to daily elements and regular maintenance, it can last for several years.
Overall, raw hair is a solid investment if you’re looking for extensions or wigs that can be reused for a long period with good care.
